If you haven’t been, the books in the Bfi are awesome. I wish I was able to quote things more often so many cool lines.

It's not just boredom.
It its crippling furious anger at myself for not being more and them for not being angrier.

Captain America →
From Buzzfeed: “Because his exploits were so unbelievable, the Army checked elaborately to make sure they really happened.” For his efforts in WWII, Forward Technical Sergeant Llewellyn M. Chilson received seven medals at the same time, a feat never-before accomplished by a single man.

Foxcroft and Ginger
http://www.foxcroftandginger.com/ Free Wifi - Food -Seating - @foxanginger Definitely one of my favourite Coffee shops, these guys make a great cup and are convienently located in Soho. They also do great food, including melting, crumbling brownies, that are almost more like a mousse. But for a real treat try one of their sausage baps. Delicious.

I used to write
I read American Gods recently and as I sort through my old PC (transferring everything to my laptop) I’ve come across some writing from when I was in school. Not bad for a 15 year old. Sunlight. It streams through the almost shut curtains splashing against my face. Even with my eyes shut I know that it’s coming. For a moment I fall back, I let my mind forget it all and think only of the...

American Gods
American Gods by Neil Gaiman is a great read. A fairly hefty book it follows Shadow on the days following his release from prison. Expecting to go back to a nice quiet life with his wife, things don’t go to plan and instead he finds himself working for the strange and dangerous Wednesday who may or may not be a God. It’s a fun read for anyone with interest in Mythology and...

Cookie cutters
Last week I ordered a substantial amount of baking supplies after being inspired by bakerella.com (check her out). The first batch arrived today, and I can not wait to make me some dinosaur cookies. There’s something about baking that really appeals to me - and I don’t think I’m alone. Yes the food is delicious, but it’s the process that rocks. Measuring the ingredients...

BBC News
I just watched the best BBC report I’ve seen in a long time. Watching them describe the snow storms in the US with a vigour that put Brian Blessid to shame, the reporter seemed to wallow in the reversal of fortune as many were trapped in the north east. Not without merit though, Thunder Snow?!? Where did that come from? Surely that’s a sign that Odin’s coming?

Merry Christmas
Having just arrived back from beautiful cold new York to cold dark London it seems it’s Christmas already. Not sure when that happened, but it has got me thinking about traditions. My family is not big on traditions however I’ve been fortunate enough to share my christmas with a family that does. Their traditions are nothing out of the ordinary - and yet, for me, they seem alien,...

Zombies
So there are a lot of cool Zombie things out there. I’d suggest reading the Walking Dead trade paper back (collected anthology of individual comics), the Z-Wars and watching 28 Days later and Zombieland. There’s also Zprepared

Joni Mitchell
Thank God for Joni Mitchell. It’s a lot easier to be the aspirational Me that I think we all have when I’m listening to her voice. I feel cool just listening. Mint and honey tea, some much neglected reading, a cold, grey, wet, Guy Fawkes night and Joni. It’s all going to be all right.

The internet is for...
Listening to Regina: Apres moi, le deluge Which in my rough French translates to  ‘After me comes the flood’. But where’s that from. Queue the internet. When I die, let earth and fire mix: It matters not to me, for my affairs will be unaffected. A fragment of a tragedy whose author has not been identified (Tragicorum Fragmenta Adespota, 513 Nauck) Awesome. Thanks...

ODE Arthur William Edgar O’Shaughnessy We are the music makers, And we are the dreamer of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. … Great hail! we cry to the corners From the dazzling unknown shore; Bring us hither...
